GEM: What is the prognosis of your injury?
Nicolette Fernandes: When I returned to Guyana in February my knee would cause me a lot of discomfort doing simple everyday things, now four months on I’m running
around the squash court feeling almost like my old self. But I’m wearing a knee
brace so over the next few months I’m hoping my knee will be strong enough to not be
dependent on the brace.
GEM: When do you expect to start playing on the international stage again?
NF: I would love to give you a definite time. At the moment I’m really just working day to day and when I’m ready I’ll know.
